About
Built for the deal.
The story
EXLT was built on a simple observation: the businesses that need financial leadership the most are often the ones least well-served by traditional finance models. Independent studios don't fit the mold of a standard CFO engagement. Production timelines move faster than quarterly reporting cycles. The same is true in real estate, where portfolio-level decisions require a different kind of financial rigor.
I'm Raafae — founder of EXLT. For nearly five years, I ran TV finance at an independent studio, where I built and managed deal models, structured production financing, and oversaw financial reporting across television, documentary, and animation. I've also worked as a licensed real estate agent and on the financial modeling side of portfolio acquisitions.
The work was rarely confined to a spreadsheet. Running finance at an indie studio meant sitting at the table with production teams, legal, creatives, and the C-suite — translating financial complexity into decisions, and operational realities into numbers. That cross-functional fluency is now a core part of how EXLT engages with clients.
I work with a focused roster of clients — production companies, content startups, real estate operators, and venture-backed founders — where I can bring genuine expertise and real attention to the work.
EXLT is structured as a holding company with intent.
The consulting practice is one arm. A production company is another. The long-term ambition is to build and invest in the kinds of businesses I've spent my career financing from the outside.
